FIOE: where is the moral conscience of the world regarding the brutal violations against the Rohingya Muslims?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Silently, the world is watching the disgraceful Rohingyas\u2019 tragedy escalating. They have been stripped of their citizenship and civil rights, and constantly exposed to the most heinous genocide crimes, including killing, burning, rape and displacement. The random attacks perpetrated by Myanmar military and their allies of extremist Buddhist militias, have deliberately destroyed Muslim villages completely and burnt the dwellers alive. Over the past few days, ethnic cleansing massacres have been committed resulting in thousands of victims in addition to the displacement of tens of thousands of people, which reveals a systematized terror policy by the Myanmar Government against the world most persecuted minority.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

In the face of these flagrant violations of basic human rights and international legal instruments, which amount to crimes against humanity, it is no longer convenient to merely condemn and issue statements of denunciation, as they have no real effect on a brutal regime that deprives victims from receiving any relief. Therefore, the Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe calls upon the EU, concerned international bodies, Islamic institutions, and all international governments, especially the Arab and Islamic countries to take urgent procedures that commensurate with the magnitude of the disaster, and respond to the following:<\/p>\n

– Rupture of diplomatic relations with the Government of Myanmar because of the ethnic cleansing policy against its Muslim citizens.<\/p>\n

– Imposing international sanctions against Myanmar, embargo on the export of weapons and military equipment, and prosecuting the involved officials in such massacres.<\/p>\n

– The Nobel Prize should be withdrawn from Aung San Suu Kyi, head of the Myanmar government, for refusing to officially acknowledge and condemn the crimes.<\/p>\n

– Allowing immediate access for humanitarian assistance and providing safe haven for thousands of refugees facing harsh living conditions.<\/p>\n

– Using all legal means to show support and solidarity with the Rohingya Muslims and promote their just cause.<\/p>\n
